Located in Sydney, the George Western Foods facility is the largest bakery in the Southern hemisphere and one of the largest in the world.

The facility has production lines capable of producing 25,000 loaves of bread (200,000 loaves per shift), 36,000 soft rolls, 24,000 muffins and 25,000 crumpets every hour, day and night.

With such huge volumes, maximising efficiency particularly in the dispatch areas was identified as critical during the planning stages.  s² delivered significant increases in spans and column free space cost effectively, while adhering to the architectural intent of the wave form roof lines.
